Enjoying Space 3 - Sound Mobile and Mallets

This handcrafted hanging mobile consists of thirteen wooden and metal sounding sources. The audience is welcome to interact with it using mallets and sticks. The mobile takes its cues from historical color-sound experiments like Bertrand Castel’s Ocular Harpsichord or more recent sound installations like David Tudor’s Rainforest. The making of the work has been a constant interplay between sculpting sound and formulating visually the structure that supports it.
