Benaki Museum, Athens, Greece 2016

The Sounds of the Jewelry Collection is a project based on the potential of sound to provide information around the material, form and aesthetics of selected pieces from the Benaki Museum collections. Along with goldsmith and researcher Akis Goumas, composer and sound-artist Daphni Farazi, the Benaki curators, conservators and the Education Department staff we produced a series of unique recordings of audible jewelry pieces and recomposed a linear soundscape that extends back to the Mycenaean and Hellenistic times.
