Museum of Cycladic Art, Athens, Greece 2015-16
The Cyclades Through Touch is a collection of play-based learning resources for students with vision loss and learning difficulties (first to eighth grade). The kit contains a tactile handmade glossary with regular and braille texts, an embroidered map of the Cyclades, a water map with pebbles of different shapes and minerals, a puzzle with pieces of Cycladic figurines, foam pieces and a replica of a marble figurine. The glossary explains the basic themes/stories around Cycladic Art and provides information that helps students and educators to improvise freely with the accompanying maps, minerals and fragmented statues.
The project was conceived and designed by Fotis Flevotomos, Fotis Sagonas and Hara Marantidou.
